Micromanufacturing in WIRED Magazine
My favorite magazine WIRED has an article on micromanufacturing. The interesting thing is that it's not about customisation of mass-produced products, but about unique items created by craftsmen. But the observations are totally relevant for the Open-Garments project, especially the work by TNO-RM and Max Juwelier.
The most interesting point in the article (IMHO) is that people have become accustomed to personalising all sorts of digital assets, building houses in The Sims, personalising MySpace-pages and they want to do the same in the physical realm.
